So what? EUR/GBP auf Jahressicht -12%...alles also halb so wild.

Der Langfristchart spricht eh Bände. Solides Basisinvestment weiterhin. ;)

As you know we suspended the share buy-back with effect from the end of July 2014, following the announcement of our intention to invest $4.7 billion to maintain our 42% shareholding and support Reynolds proposed acquisition of Lorillard.

Earlier this week we confirmed that we’re considering an investment of another £2.3 billion to purchase the remaining 24.7% of Souza Cruz’s shares not already owned by BAT. Should both the Reynolds and Souza Cruz’s transactions go ahead in full, BAT would in 2015, marginally exceed our net debt to EBITDA guidance of 1.5 to 2.5 times. We would therefore consider restarting the buy-back in 2017.

das kostet halt erstmal Geld...

FY adjusted diluted EPS fell 3.9 percent to 208.1 pence

* FY revenue £13,971 mln

* FY operating margin, at current rates of exchange, grew by more than 50 basis points to 38.7 pct

British American Tobacco to acquire TDR

British American Tobacco to expand its business in Central Europe

British American Tobacco ("BAT") has signed an agreement to acquire TDR d.o.o. and other tobacco and retail assets ("TDR") from Adris Grupa d.d. ("Adris") for a total enterprise value of €550 million.

TDR is the leading independent cigarette manufacturer in Central Europe with a market leading position in Croatia and a position of scale in Bosnia and Serbia which will provide BAT with the opportunity to significantly grow its business in the region.

By combining its existing business in the region together with TDR, BAT expects to benefit from highly skilled people, well established brands, enhanced regional leaf processing capabilities, a local high quality factory and print facility and strong relationships with distributors and retailers in these markets.

As part of the transaction BAT has committed to keeping TDR's manufacturing facility in Kanfanar, Croatia operational for at least five years following completion of the acquisition.

The transaction represents a multiple of approximately 12.5 times (based on TDR's financial year ending 31 December 2014 EBITDA of approximately €44 million).

Nicandro Durante, BAT's Chief Executive, commented: "This is an exciting acquisition for BAT, which will provide immediate scale in three core markets of Croatia, Bosnia and Serbia and establishes a sustainable platform to grow our business in Central Europe".

British American Tobacco's revenue falls lesser than expected

British American Tobacco , the world's second-biggest tobacco company, reported a lesser-than-expected fall in 2015 revenue, as it gained market share and saw a smaller decline in cigarette volumes even as more smokers stub out the habit.

Dragged down largely by the impact of currency movements on cost of raw materials and leaf, revenue fell 6.2 percent to 13.10 billion pounds. Analysts on average expected 12.95 billion pounds, according to Thomson Reuters data.

Excluding the impact of currency, the company behind Dunhill and Lucky Strike said revenue rose 5.4 percent, due to price increases.

Cigarette volume fell 0.8 percent organically, excluding the acquisition of TDR in Croatia, against an estimated industry decline of 2.3 percent, BAT said. Volume, which measures the amount of tobacco sold, fell 0.8 percent.

BAT proposed a final dividend for 2015 of 104.6 pence, resulting in a 4 percent increase in full-year dividend.

"Our momentum has continued with market share in our Key Markets increasing by a further 20 basis points. Cigarette volume was up 3.6%, with our Global Drive Brands growing by 10.5%." (Nicandro Durante, Chief Executive)

Quarterly dividend payments introduced

Zitat

With effect from 2018, the Company will move to four interim quarterly dividend payments

The dividend amount will be announced in February 2018 as part of the Preliminary Results announcement for the year ending 31 December 2017. It will be paid in four equal instalments in May, August and November 2018 and February 2019.

As part of the transition to quarterly dividend payments, and to ensure shareholders receive the equivalent amount of total cash payments in 2018 as they would have under the previous payment policy, an additional interim dividend will be announced in December 2017 for payment in February 2018 and will be calculated as 25% of the total cash dividend paid in 2017.

The proposed payment dates, record dates and ex-dividend dates for the dividend payments are set out in the table below.

Quarterly dividends will provide shareholders with a more regular flow of dividend income and will allow the Company to spread its substantial dividend payments more evenly over the year.  The dividends will align better with the cash flow generation of the Company and enable it to fund the payments more efficiently.

The Group's policy to pay dividends of 65% of long-term sustainable earnings, calculated with reference to the adjusted diluted earnings per share, remains unchanged.

BAT pulls ahead in U.S. vaping battle, shares jump

Zitat

British American Tobacco (BATS.L) plans to test its new Eclipse tobacco heating device in the United States this year, allowing it to pull ahead of Philip Morris (PM.N) in the world's biggest vaping market.

Its shares rose 5 percent as BAT, the world's second-biggest international tobacco company by revenue, also reported better-than-expected first-half profit, helped by its recent takeover of Reynolds American.

BAT said it received a "substantial equivalence" clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for an improved version of its carbon-tipped tobacco heating product called Eclipse, a major regulatory hurdle that clears the way for a market launch.

"We are delighted to be the first tobacco company to be able to launch a THP (tobacco heating product) proposition in the United States," Chief Executive Nicandro Durante said.

He told Reuters the plan was to test Eclipse - a disposable device that looks like a cigarette but only heats, rather than burns, tobacco - in a small U.S. area by the end of 2018. The full market launch would probably then occur in 2019, he said.

BAT said another application for its Glo device, filed in February, has passed into scientific review.

In addition, the company said it expects a scientific hearing regarding its Camel Snus to take place in September.

The maker of Lucky Strike and Dunhill cigarettes said it remains confident of exceeding 1 billion pounds of reported revenue from next generation products this year, as new launches should bolster growth in the back half of the year following a slowdown in some key markets such as Japan and Korea.

In the first half of the year, BAT reported sales of 11.64 billion pounds ($15.36 billion), roughly in line with analysts' average estimate according to Thomson Reuters data.

Adjusted earnings per share were 137.2 pence, ahead of expectations. Its shares were up 5.4 percent at 1036 GMT.

BAT said foreign exchange rates were a headwind of 8 percent in the first half of the year and are estimated to hurt sales by 5 to 6 percent for the full year, during which it anticipates another good year of adjusted earnings growth at constant rates of exchange.
